We are living in crazy times it seems between a pandemic and protests.
There is a line “control what you can control” and I think it is important right now to control your health and mindset.
If you turn on the news or social media you would think there is literally nothing going on in the world that’s good and although we have some serious issues we are dealing with you can’t let that stop you from taking care of yourself.
The worst thing you can do is let your mind get sucked into the negativity.
One of the best things you can do right now is stick to your routine or create one.
For me it’s my morning routine, if I am able to stick with this I can deal with just about anything that gets thrown at me but if not my day ends up in the crapper.
Do you have a morning routine or is it coffee and social media right out of the gate?
I try not to check my email before 9 or 10 in the morning. Why? If I do my day is spent reacting to someone else’s priorities and not mine. If I start off on social media I am immediately pissed off so why would I want to start my day that way? Side note, social media is an absolute cesspool right now. I am avoiding it at all costs.
Another thing that is helpful and I learned from reading “Great Leaders have no rules” by Kevin Kruse was to schedule everything! Top performers’ schedules have everything they need to do in them including workouts, meditation, or anything personal they need to do not just work. This is quite a distinction because most people only schedule work. Change that and start scheduling time for yourself like your workouts, family time, etc.
Routines in times like these are more crucial than ever. If you have a good one keep on keeping on, if not create one today.
But wanna admit that this is very helpful , Thanks for taking your time to write this. Joella Mal Judas
