We are living in a time where we have it so easy we complain about silly things that people take for granted.
If it’s hard, we pass.
I think that is part of the reason 40% of the country is obese and 70% is overweight. We can’t deal with anything being difficult.
Do you think working out in my garage in 100% humidity in Florida is easy? Nope, but I do it every day. Does that make me special? Absolutely not and that’s not why I said it.
I don’t want to be one of the statistics I just gave you.
The cliché is, if it was easy, everyone would be doing it.
Ask yourself if it’s hard do you skip it? This isn’t just working out, it could be with food, your job, parenting, etc.
It’s hard to do the right thing, it takes discipline.
If people living a hundred years ago could see the shape we are in and the shit we complain about they would be shocked.
So for today take stock of the stuff you complain about or put off because it’s “too hard”. Once you have done that, pick that thing you know you need to either stop or start doing.
Start that new workout, go for that walk, throw out that garbage food, read a book instead of binging TV.
It may be hard at first but on the other side is freedom.
The opposite of freedom is oppression.
Choose freedom.
